Enigmatics, Inc., is a small research and development company founded and incorporated by Dr. David Book in 1992. Our company has developed the infrastructure, expertise and reputation to offer unmatched capabilities in applied thermal-fluid science technologies. With a dedicated staff of 3-4 scientists and engineers and over 3000 ft2 of laboratory space, Enigmatics has a wide range of capabilities for pursuing development efforts including, but not limited to, rocket propulsion, acoustic applications, and thermal spray coatings.

The research facilities are located in College Park, Maryland and are currently available for experimental development and testing. With a range of vacuum chambers, ventilated wind tunnels, sound isolation chambers, and water tanks, Enigmatics, Inc., supports combustion and non-combustion-based thermal-fluid process development in a wide range of environments. In-house machining, plumbing, electronic prototyping and material evaluation capabilities also round out our basic research and development support services.

Our customers include the Department of Defense (U.S. Airforce, Army, Navy, DARPA, MDA), the National Science Foundation and NASA, as well as ongoing collaborations with our strategic partner SAIC.
